This book highlights some of the issues facing youth in Canada today. Ageism, as well as various forms of oppression, point to the need for an intersectional analysis of social life as well as a view to understanding youth resistance to structural violence. This book explores youth responses to racism, sexism and adult-centric social policy, describing the various forms of suffering due to ineffective social policy. This multi-authored collection shares how an arts-based methodology was used in group settings to portray youth voice, perspectives and responses to social injustice. Mental-health related issues are contextualized in the realities of Canadian society for young people today.
